Why Should You Choose WordPress?

The most popular website builder is WordPress.

Why should you choose this platform?

WordPress was chosen by the folks at Web Dezyn Plus as the top website platform used since 2004 and so far this year. It has been ranked #1 continuously for nearly seventeen years in a row. It’s easy to use! It’s free!  It has an enormous amount of templates, themes, and kits.  It is extremely easy to use with all the updated features.  And did I say — IT’S FREE!

In addition, we have created several websites based on WordPress with different templates such as ProPhoto (NightinGail Photography, Kennisis Portraits, Bayshore Photography, Tanya Ellis Photography) and Elementor (Journey2Soulful and, of course, ours!)  We can produce absolutely unique websites starting from a base of WordPress and an add-on template or kit.

In one case, we have someone else who recently did a study and found that WordPress is the platform of choice for 70% of all websites. That’s a huge number! WordPress powers about 33% of the websites on the Internet. When you combine that with the fact it is the most-used website platform, it means a lot of eyeballs are on this product. If you are marketing anything on the Internet, you need as much “eyeball time” as you can get. With that in mind, here are a couple reasons you should use WordPress;

  1. It is one of the most heavily used website platforms on the Internet. There are so many people using it they have an enormous amount of “eyeball time.”
  2. It is free. There is no cost whatsoever to use the basic version of WordPress.

In another case study, WordPress came out on top of other platforms including PrestaShop, OpenCart, and Miva. WordPress is also the most widely used blogging platform in the world.  WordPress is owned by Automattic, a company founded in Sweden in 2003 that also owns the hugely popular blog platform, WordPress.com.

WordPress is the most powerful website builder available and one of the most powerful publishing tools available anywhere on the Internet. It can be used to create any type of website from a personal blog to a massive e-commerce site. If you already have a WordPress website (or blog), you can use the same tools to make changes and enhancements to your existing site. If you don’t have a WordPress website (or blog), it’s easy to set up.

Simply go to WordPress and follow the instructions. It’s free. There is no catch. No gimmicks. Just free access to the most powerful website and blogging platform on the entire Internet.

Over the rest of the month, I will be talking about the top ten reasons to use WordPress.

After that, I will be reviewing a variety of templates, kits and themes that work well with WordPress.  There are many different varieties and choosing a platform really is based on personal preference.  But, that said, you should consider what you want your website to accomplish for your business.  Web Dezyn Plus would be delighted to help you review your needs and help you clarify your purpose.

These posts will be short and to the point. They will give you a small nugget of information designed to get your brain percolating and make you think “hmmmnnn? That’s interesting.” But, each one of them will contain enough raw info to stimulate your mind and get your creative wheels turning.

Cheers!
